About UsSo, what is Truckin'?
I created this site in 2002 out of sheer frustration. I was sick and tired of seeing submission after submission of mine shot down from various e-zines and other literary publications. I decided to start my own place on the blogosphere where I would publish all of my short stories and travel essays in addition to sharing my friends' travel stories. Thus, Truckin' was born and once a month new stories are added to the archives.
Over the last two years this idea has evolved into something extraordinary because a close knit community of creative minds have found themselves. At one point I was the only person writing stories and we had less than ten readers. Today, Truckin' is read on six continents and features writers from all over the world. The majority of Truckin' writers do not write for a living. They have regular day jobs and come from all walks of life. All of the writers write for free and I am proud to say that many of them are close friends. I like to think that Truckin' is like your corner bar of blogzines; you'll find an eclectic mix of stories and characters and discover that some are oddly familiar.
If you would like to be added to our mailing list or donate cash, send us an
email. If you would like to write for Truckin', please read the Guidelines below. Thanks for stopping by and supporting a group of some kick ass writers.

Guidelines for Truckin' SubmissionsI are currently looking for travel stories or personal fiction. Grammar and punctuation does not matter to me as much as originality, style, and voice. All of our writers write for free.
To submit a piece for consideration, please note:
1. Stories of 1,500 words or less encouraged. If you have stories over 2,000 words, do not worry. I have split stories into two parts before.
2. Please include a short bio (50-100 words) about yourself and include any previous publishing credits.
3. If possible, cut and paste your submission into the body of your e-mail. Otherwise, I suggest you send an attached .doc file.
4. Send your contribution to
my G-mail address.
5.
Please do not submit any poker stories or poker-themed stories.
